The Band:
The Info: It was the summer of '97 and in that year an awesome punk-pop/rock band was formed... New Found Glory. Their music is emo (emotional),
rock, and hardcore all mixed together. In '99 Nothing Gold Can Stay and From the Screen to your Stereo sold a combined 30,000 copies in a short time. Their newest album, singer Jordan explains, "It was less stressful, we didn’t have to worry about time, so we could get more creative. Also, this was the first time we worked with a producer (Neal Avron) and that extra set of ears allowed for more experimentation." Playing in shows with MxPx, Unwritten Law, The Get Up Kids, and Reel Big Fish, like many other bands, has brought their career up a few notches. Like me, New Found Glory has many rockin' fans. Their lyrics are like a cold, their contagious, and they get stuck in your head, but their not annoying. They have an awesome energy in their music. The experiment-ness on their albums has earned them both the ’98 Slammie Award, given to the best new band in Florida, and cemented their reputation as a must-see-live band on the Van’s Warped Tour when NFG out drew the main stage headliner. New Found Glory's music is for everyone!
